On the edge of Barcelona’s Parc de la Ciutadella in the neighbourhood of El Born, is a slow food café slash gallery dedicated to art and the philosophy of sustainability called El Café Blueproject Foundation.

Each dish is vegan or vegetarian and made with 100% organic food produced locally, creating meals which are fresh, delicious, ecological - and as a bonus - aesthetically beautiful. They hold the Ecological Restaurant Certification (CAAE) and are members of Slow Food Network in Spain, signifying their commitment and community.

The space is both welcoming and cozy, built within the aged walls of an ancient building, and decorated with vintage chairs and upcycled tables made with repurposed upcycled wood.
El Café Blueproject Foundation supports and is part of the Blueproject Foundation itself, a non-profit multidisciplinary art space aimed at sharing and supporting modern and contemporary artistic creation. The gallery can be reached from the road or through a door in the café to be perused during or after your culinary enjoyments, where renowned and emerging artists are celebrated in two complimentary exhibition spaces which unite projects of performance, sculpture, installations, painting and video art.

It is an inspiring and creative place to eat at and experience in the midst of a day of sight-seeing, with quality food and conscious conversations to be enjoyed and pursued throughout.
